What we do
The APPG on Social Enterprise was founded in 2003 by Baroness Thornton and currently has a membership of 93 MPs and Peers from across the 3 main parties.
The aim of the APPG is to showcase social enterprises and discuss issues important to the social enterprise movement. As well as an annual party, since 2003, the APPG has held meetings in Westminster with range of different social enterprises invited as guest speakers.
In January 2008, the Social Enterprise Coalition took over the Secretariat for the APPG on Social Enterprise. We aim to support the APPG by expanding the number and range of the group's activities to increase understanding about social enterprise amongst parliamentarians.
